Product Innovation award
In April 2018 EAVE was honoured to win the British Safety Industry Federation award for Product Innovation of the Year. With this, EAVE is recognised as one of the leaders of change in the health and safety industry and demonstrates how cutting-edge technology can be applied to disease prevention. More than 150 entries were submitted, and 12 were shortlisted for the award.
The EAVE WORK MKI is one part of the EAVE WORK noise mapping monitoring and dosimetry solution. Comprised of the PEAK software platform and EAVE WORK MKI headset, the EAVE Solution ensures that dangerous doses and durations of noise exposure can be avoided to prevent noise induced hearing loss, and create an audit trail of compliance to protect companies against future occupational hearing loss claims.
The award is given each year by the British Safety Industry Federation, the UK’s leading trade body within the safety industry, for products that are new and innovative and will contribute to improvements in occupational safety and health. This award recognises the hard work and skill of the team at EAVE in developing a novel and innovative solution to occupational noise induced hearing loss. The EAVE WORK MKI combines risk management and mitigation in a simple and cost-effective system.
The award judges were from the chief executive of the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the former chief executive of Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH), the former policy & standards director of the British Safety Council, the editor of the Health & Safety Magazine (HSM), past CEO of the Association of Project Safety (APS), Fellow of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM) and a lead health & safety advisor for the Health Protection Agency and Public Health England.
